Permanent Makeup Information:
What is Permanent Makeup?
Permanent Makeup is a state of the art technique in which pigment is placed into the dermal layer of the skin. The color chosen is complimentary for each client's skin, and enhances the natural beauty. With permanent makeup, you will no longer suffer smeared eyeliner, or constant need for lipstick touch-ups. Imagine no more need to draw on brows that are thin or faded. It is an extremely rewarding cosmetic procedure that will help you will look beautiful throughout the day and night.
Benefits:
Permanent Makeup can benefit anyone who:
*Has an active lifestyle
*Has difficulty putting on makeup
*Has allergies to regular cosmetics
*Applies makeup throughout the day
*Wants to enhance appearance
*Wants to restore natural appearance
*Wants to spend less time applying makeup
Is the procedure painful?
Top of the line topical anesthetics specifically formulated for permanent cosmetics are used. I do not use injectable anesthetics, they are unnecessary and cause undue amounts of initial pain and swelling. I personally disagree with the overuse of the injectable anesthetics during
permanent makeup procedures in Oklahoma. Also, you will not need a driver as you will not need any sedatives for your procedure. I also believe sedatives are overused in Oklahoma as well. I prefer my clients to be lucid during their procedure, this is an interactive procedure and your opinion matters. Topical anesthetics are the national and international acceptable method for anesthesia during permanent makeup procedures. These are applied to the treatment area before and during the procedure to minimize discomfort. My clients typically enter my office anticipating a reasonable amount of pain and anxiety, but are so thankful when they find out how comfortable they are. I have a very gentle touch, and you can rest assured that you will be very satisfied, the entire time you are in my office.
I recommend my clients do not plan permanent makeup prior to any special events. Initially, you can expect a small amount of swelling and redness. This will subside rather quickly. The following day, eyeliner procedures typically make your eyes look like you have had a decent cry. Lip color often involves minimal swelling for about couple of days. Eyebrow procedures rarely swell. Most women are able to return to work the same day or the following day. You can expect complete your color to adapt and the display of your final color approximately four weeks from the final application.
Permanent cosmetics can last many years, but eventually will need maintenance. Each client will vary in how often they will need additional color. Many factors can affect the duration of your permanent cosmetics, including sun exposure, topical product use, medications, and the body’s natural metabolism. Expect to have at least two appointments to achieve final results. Take advantage of the longterm touch-up pricing for my existing clientele.
